The teachers test is conducted twice in a year. The teachers are advised to take TT at higher level (PRT teachers for TGT level and
TGT teachers for PGT level) to qualify for MBU in minimum period (refer award and MBU guidelines).
Maximum Marks (MM):
If a teacher appeared in the TT more than once, the best performance during last 5 years
is treated as the current marks designated as Maximum Marks (MM). Marks obtained in first TT - October 2001 will be deleted from
TT records in October 2006 and so on.
Current Grade, Rank and Average :
Qualifying marks for TTQ are 50% or average marks of all teachers in same subject
whichever is lower, subject to a minimum of 35%. Qualifying marks may change with each TT, however, TTQ status is retained even
if qualifying marks increase in the later TT. The current merit or rank is calculated among all teachers appeared in the same TT
subject. The average mark is calculated based on the Average maximum mark calculated for all teachers appeared in the same TT subject.
NPSW and NPAS:
The normalised performance subject wise (NPSW) is calculated using the formula
NPSW = MM of teacher/(Average MM mark) in the given subject.
The NPAS (Normalised Performance Across Subjects) is calculated using the formula NPAS = NPSW / (Maximum NPSW among all TT Subjects)
NPAS is calculated seperately for Scholastic and Non-Scholastic Subjects for each category of PRT, TGT and PGT teachers. NPAS of >= 0.75
indicates performance level of top 25% among teachers of concerned category. The factor NPAS is used as the performance parameter
which changes after each TT. The test is conducted twice a year and a teacher has an option to improve the performance parameter by appearing
in the test any number of times.
